Coach 1

Coach 1 is troubled by the distraction of incoming calls and kicking himself that he did not cover this territory carefully in the contracting, in the section on where and under what conditions can the best coaching occur. He believes his client sincerely wants to address some issues, but he notices how hard it is to get a focus for the work. He cares about this client, but is also aware of his own frustration and, at times, even annoyance at his client. He doesn’t think it is smart to bring this dynamic up with the client and is worried that his client might be offended or think he, as coach, doesn’t get how demanding his work load is. The coach wants to figure out what he could do to create a better way to approach the coaching, so they can get more focused.
